Part of our Malaysian food series, this postcard features an all time Malaysian favourite: Asam Laksa, this dish which originates from Penang has a soup that is made with mackerel and its main distinguishing feature is the asam or tamarind which gives the soup a sour and appetizing taste. The fish is poached and then flaked.
