Miki Tamura, who lives in Osaka Prefecture, is a chigiri-e artist and illustrator who creates works by tearing and pasting masking tape. The motif of her designs is inspired by her daily life and the scenery she comes across. Miki prefers to imagine from color rather than shape, and she sticks the tape directly to the mount without drawing a sketch, taking advantage of the design and sheerness of the tapes in her arsenal. With her popular "masking sticker" that can be stuck and peeled off, she may be filled with little joy every day.
