Nancy Seki was born on July 7, 1962, near the Munakata Shiko Memorial Hall in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. He moved to Tokyo after graduating from high school. He began engraving stamps with an eraser while enrolled at Hosei University, and his tenth series of "Chonju Series" came to the attention of Mr. Ichiro Enoki and debuted in 1984 as an eraser engraver. At the time, he was named "Nancy" by Seiko Taito, editor of the "Hot Dog Press", and started a column "Nancy Seki no Kanji Ippatsu!" He is also very talented in writing. He passed away on June 12, 2002. 39 years old.
