2025 (Spring) Hobonichi Weeks Hardcover Planner // Yumi Kitagishi: Beautiful Wallpaper
Hobonichi created a Weeks book using illustrations by illustrator Yumi Kitagishi, who’s artwork has made waves all over the world.
The world in Kitagishi’s acrylic gouache paintings evoke lovely, warm feelings of gazing at an enchanting picture book.
The theme of this Weeks book is Beautiful Wallpaper. We rearranged this artwork from some dollhouse wallpaper that Kitagishi designed. How amazing would it be to spend time in a room covered in this wallpaper? Being able to envision something like that is what makes this romantic and gentle-looking cover such a joy to use.
The design is lined with things like fancy gloves, puppies on cakes, birds making a heart shape, beautiful pink and yellow roses, and more. These fairytale motifs are lined up along vertical stripes.
The book cover and spine are foil-pressed in gold with the year 2025, which shines in the light.
This techo includes a brand card with a cat design. The cat peeking out looks cute, and you can tuck it into your Weeks as a bookmark and enjoy seeing it every time you open your book.
Various stationery products with Kitagishi’s art are also for sale, including a clear folder set, Hobonichi Paper(s) and Deco Rush. They’re great for using together.
When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.
The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.
The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 69 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back (73 pages in the English edition). The back of the book contains bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons and Oodles of Noodles.
If you’d like storage space or a way to change up the look of your Weeks book, you can customize your book by pairing it with a Weeks cover.

Note: The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
