This Weeks book features a photograph of Denali, North America’s highest peak, as taken by Naoki Ishikawa.

This photo, capturing the full extent of Mount Denali at 6190 meters above sea level, was taken from inside a Cessna heading towards base camp for the summit. The view of the mountain composed of deep blue and white looks like a watercolor painting at a glance. This photograph is processed with cyanotype, which is a photographic process that involves a chemical solution and exposure to UV light. The appeal in this design comes from the brush marks that let you see where the solution was applied.

In 2016, Ishikawa climbed Denali all by himself. During a season close to the midnight sun, he diligently kept climbing while bathed in the sunlight, amidst the blue and white landscape. He depicted that scenery more impressively in Denali in the Midnight Sun #1.

The photograph is fully printed in this Weeks book. You will be able to have the vast landscape of Denali always by your side. The year 2025 is foil-pressed in silver.

The back has the name of the piece and the photographer foil-pressed in silver.

Seeing the great scenery with the blue mountain and sky against the white snow and clouds will motivate you whenever it catches your eyes.

When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.

The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 73 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back. The back of the book contains bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons and Oodles of Noodles.

If you’d like storage space or a way to change up the look of your Weeks book, you can customize your book by pairing it with a Weeks cover.

Note: The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
